TEN LEADING PUBLISHERS JOIN PEPC’S ROSTER OF GLOBALLY AVAILABLE NEWPAPERS

As from today onwards, PEPC Worldwide daily distributes the latest editions of 87 newspapers from 40 countries to high traffic, international venues throughout the world. Last week, PEPC signed global distribution agreements with 10 leading newspaper publishers. Joining PEPC’s Publishers Network are Clarin, OlĂ© and La Razon from Argentina, Tarun Bharat, and Rajasthan Patrika from India, Russian Komsomolskaya Pravda (both the daily and the weekly edition), US El Nuevo Herald and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Most recently PEPC contracted Le Figaro, the first French newspaper made available on a daily basis on the PRESSPOiNT™, PEPC’s self-contained interactive kiosk.
PEPC, acronym for Publishers Electronic Printing Concept, receives the digital newspaper files from participating publishers as soon as the newspaper is ready to be printed in the country of origin. PEPC transfers the newspapers via satellite uplink and multicast satellite transmission to PRESSPOiNTS and receiving locations around the world. By distributing the news electronically rather than shipping it in printed form, PEPC’s offers international travelers access to their newspapers only minutes after the printing process in the country of origin has started. When traveling the US, European and Asian travelers can print their hometown newspapers 5 to 8 hours before they could even buy them in their countries of origin.
PEPC’s rapidly growing Publishing Network represents leading publications such as the International Herald Tribune, USA TODAY (USA), the Los Angeles Times (USA), Sports Nippon (Japan), El Pais (Spain), Il Giornale (Italy), Die Welt (Germany) and El Economista (Mexico).
