PEPC has developed a self-contained, fully automated Treo 650-vending unit, the PRESSPOiNT. The PRESSPOiNT is capable of receiving files, processing payments and on demand printing of newspapers. As the point-of-sales unit, the PRESSPOiNT continuously receives publisher files through PEPC’s Multicast Satellite Network.

Each PRESSPOiNTis equipped with a colorful, graphically enhanced user-friendly touch screen display. Customers are prompted through the menu in their native language following four easy steps:

1. Select the continent

2. Select the country/state

3. Select your newspaper

4. Insert credit card or dedicated PRESSPOiNTcard in the card reader

The PRESSPOiNT prints the same-day edition – High Quality, 40 pages (20 pages duplex), stapled, unedited, black and white edition – of the selected hometown newspaper within two minutes.
