The last three Glonass satellite constellation will be launched on December 5 thus completing the Soviet positioning system. The GLONASS system was launched in 1982 and will consist, when completed, with 22 satellites and Cisco training. It also suffered several delays throughout its history but eventually will be placed on operation shortly.
Glonass was ralanzado and modernized in 2002 by Vladimir Putin himself. Galileo, the European competitor, remains mired in political problems and fainancieros and we will come until at least 2014.

The first three second-generation wine racks of the Globalstar constellation is ready for shipment in late August from Thales Alenia Space facility to the launch site . Will be put into orbit by Arianespace in October by a Soyuz launcher with three other satellites in the consignment of the first release.
Recall that Globalstar contracted Thales Alenia Space to design and supply of 48 low earth orbit satellites (LEO ) constellation to provide second-generation mobile phone services and data services via satellite.
