| THE HAGUE 24th January 2003 — The Netherlands-based PEPC Worldwide, a global distributor of digitally transmitted newspapers from newspaper publishers around the world, today announced that it has signed a dealership agreement with Micros Fidelio France. Under the agreement Micros Fidelio France, a subsidiary of MICROS Systems Inc., will install and maintain PEPC’s International Newspaper KiOSKS throughout France. Located in high traffic areas such as hotel lobbies and airport concourses, the International Newspaper KiOSK is a fully automated vending unit that digitally prints the latest edition of over 110 international newspapers, on customer’s demand.
International travelers can select and pay their favorite newspaper following four easy steps on the KiOSK’s touch screen. Within two minutes, the latest edition of the newspaper of choice, printed in tabloid format and fastened with three staples, rolls off the press. The newspapers are of the same content and layout, including photographs and advertisements, as the editions people are used to read at home. Among the globally available newspapers are leading publications such as the International Herald Tribune, USA Today (USA), Le Monde (France), El Pais (Spain), Times of India (India) and Sports Nippon (Japan). “France is the world’s second largest country in international tourist arrivals,” states Frédéric Gilliard, Directeur Général Micros Fidelio France. “We see enormous opportunities for PEPC’s newspaper-on-demand service in the French hospitality industry.” “Our partnership with Micros Fidelio France gives us a unique foothold in the vast French market,” says Rob Dorpmans, CEO of PEPC Worldwide. “Micros Fidelio’s unique network in – and extensive knowledge of – the hospitality market reveals unique opportunities for both our companies.” During the Sirha, Salon International de la Restauration et de l’Hôtellerie to be held in Lyon as from 25th to 29th January 2003, Micros Fidelio France will present the International Newspaper KiOSK to the French hospitality market.
